'THE HEART OFTHE DELTA' Bethel Island

Upon crossing over the bridge you will find yourself in the recreational playground of the California Delta’s best kept secret....The California Delta.

While on Bethel Island, take advantage of the several recreational opportunities available to you.
On land, you may hike, camp, bike, critter watch, dine out or golf. Our water ways allow fishing, boating and all water sports. Whether you travel in a 100 ton mega yacht, a 900 hr. ocean racer or just a kayak, our 1000 miles of fresh water connecting 57 island will bring you adventures by exploring or just laying back on one of our many pristine beaches or anchorages soaking up the rays.

The Franks Tract area is one if the finest fishing sites on the North American continent. Catfish, stripers, world class large mouth bass are year round with an occasional steelhead, sturgeon possibly tugging at your line. Spring and fall runs of huge stripers bring in fish as large as 45 pounds. In addition, the light winds in September and October enhance serous fly fishing for these monsters.
The Deltas boundaries are Sacramento to the north Lathrop/Tracy to the south and Pittsburg/Suisun to the west.
